Creativity and Progression

I’m finished. 

I love this project. It’s personalized in so many ways… Pieces of my school, stores I live around, buildings that friends and family live in, are all in here. I love when my mom looks at it, how she points out every thing she recognizes and tells me the exact location of it. I learned a lot of things about myself, and I’ve gained appreciation for my neighborhood and how much it’s changed over the years. Good things can come out of being bored and blankly staring at your empty wall. 

First I would like to thank my friends Eyan and Shannon, the first 2 people that I told when I started. I want to thank my sister Kenia, for countless nights of her creepily staring at me while I worked… you did an excellent job of keeping my company.

To everyone who asked how it was coming along during the times that I never spoke about it… Thanks for being a reminder. 

A special thanks to Keion, who assured me that even when I move out my mom’s house this was coming with me. “Yo, you’re not gonna take it down. You’re going to take the wall out. I will help you take the wall out.”
